Thank you for visiting! My name is Boris Veldhuijzen van Zanten and I am one of the founders of V3. Working with homepages every day it only seemed logical for me to build one too. This is not the first version though! I think I have thrown away what I had and started all over about 10 times now in the last 2 years. And as with every homepage I always promise myself and my visitors to keep working on it...

My webcam:

I is hooked up to my Powerbook and refreshes every 30 seconds but you will have to reload the page to see the new image.

I like to eat good food. I cook some things myself and I like to eat out a lot: West Pacific, Cafe Amsterdam

My recipy for Spaghetti:

Ingredients: minced beef (500gr), purple onions
(1 big one or 2 small), Garlic (a lot), Pesto (100gr), Good spaghetti, Italian or french herbs, Olive oil, 4 tomatos and 1 small can of tomato puree...

Prepare: Use a little bit of olive oil to bake the minced beef and halfway add the sliced onions. Add the garlic after the minced beef is done. Than add the pesto, tomatos and tomato puree. You can also add some leek, some small pieces of cauliflower and even some broccoli to make it look more healthy. Wait with the herbs till the end so it keeps it's flavour. Don't forget to cook the spaghetti!

Serve: with fresh parmesan cheese and a good bottle of red wine.

For more recipies take a look at the Spaghetti warehouse.

I use a Macintosh Powerbook G3, a Palm V and a Motorola V. 3688 Phone and a Jaguar Sovereign.

I collect DVDs. I buy them at Amazon. Here are the last 5 DVDs I bought.

Stigmata
Eyes Wide Shut
Random Hearts
187
Bullitt

I didn't see them yet because I broke my DVD player. I'm going to buy the new Sony Dream System next week. I wanted to post a link to it but there just isn't any info about it at the Sony site...

Here is a list of books I own or have read. I have provided a link directly to each book at Amazon so you can buy it there if you want. The authors are linked to their homepages if they have one...

I have read some books by Douglas Coupland and I try to read all of them now. These are the books I have read so far: 'Generation X', 'Girlfriend in a Coma', 'Microserfs', 'Miss Wyoming', 'Polaroids from the dead', 'Shampoo Planet', Life after God,

I always enjoyed the articles by Nichoals Negroponte in WIRED Magazine so I also read 'Being Digital'.

A very nice book I bought when I was visiting Boston is 'Adventures of a Bystander' by Peter F. Drucker.

In Madagaskar I read 'The Microsoft File - the secret case against bill gates' by Wendy Goldman Rohm which was boring. To get another look at the microsoft story I also read 'Barbarians Led by Bill Gates' by Jennifer Edstrom and Marlin Eller which was just a little bit more exciting.

I also try to read all the Po Bronson books. I read these: 'Nudist on the Late Shift: And Other True Tales of Silicon Valley' and 'The First $20 Million Is Always the Hardest' which I liked very much.

The book I tried to finish a few weeks ago (and didn't finish) is 'the Victorian Internet' from Tom Standage. It's very good and tells about how the Telegraph once revolutionised the world just like the Internet is today.

One of the most fun books to read is 'Eat the Rich' by P. J. O'Rourke. And as I browsed amazon just now I found a new book by this author: 'Holidays in Hell' which I'm gonna buy right away and read on my next vacation...

I participate in the Amazon Associate program. That means that for every book, DVD or any other product you buy at Amazon after clicking on one of my links I get a percentage...
