Linear's Land of Imagination

A Land of Infinite Realities

Enter the world where anything is possible!

That's right. The world of videogames. The world of video games has expanding and grown into a powerful industry where lots of money is made. The games have become more complex, and graphical. However, the games still stand on many of the standard principles the pioneer games did. They had quality game play and challenged the individual to be the best, and do the best that they could do.

However there are some games that have put to much focus into the so called 'Superior' graphics and detail and have lost sight of what made the original games great, and that's PLAYABILITY!

I cannot and will not claim I have a good emulator page, but I will say that I support the world of emulators because it often brings back many of the great memories of my earlier childhood, and allows me to experience the challenge once again. I really want to say right now, and thank you authors that design these emulators for the different game systems. I, and I know countless other millions around the world really appreciate the work and time you put into them.

I know..I know you want the emulators and games...Well, here's some of them are... First of all, may I ask, are you looking for a link to the past? Then maybe you'll find your way with...

The Adventures of Link

If you haven't played this game before then you really don't know what you've been missing. This in my opinion was the greatest game ever created on Nintendo. The Zelda series is also my favorite series. This game is an excellent side scrolling action/RPG where you build you experience and skill to defeat 6 castles that get more complex as they go, and a powerful boos that controls the castles and guards it. There are many items and treasures you can find along the way to assist you, and most are required to continue onward in the game. If you like action and RPG combined, this really is one of the greatest games ever designed. And it sure beats the heck out of a lot of the fancier games. They just don't have the playability you get from this old Nintendo Classic.

Maybe you aren't in the mood to go on a complex multi-level adventure. Maybe you just wanna sit back, relax, and KNOCK SOMEONE'S HEAD OFF! :) In that case, why don't you check out:

Mike Tyson's Punchout!

This game is totally awesome. It might seem like a simple beat'em up 1 on 1 game, but it is much more and requires a good bit of skill and technique to defeat the game, especially the last few guys...Here's the game: Mike Tyson's Punchout

You go from beating the snot out of wimpy losers like this to...

To having to handle some really big powerhouses. How little mac does it I just don't know..hehe..

For any of you that want or care about some hints and tips on how to beat these fighters shown here, here they are:

1. When fighting Stringbean, the first boxer shown on the left, he will provoke you to punch at him. Punch him then immediately dodge. After you do, hit him constantly with a left uppercut, then right uppercut, then left again. Repeating that will allow you to hit him til he's down. When he gets up from the first fall, he will attempt to super-uppercut you right away. Dodge the punch, and then nail him with the left/right combo I said above again, and you'll have him down for the count. (if done in first round.)

2. When fighting Indian Turbin wearing guy (can't remember his name, and on the emulator the words are scrambled so I can't see them) when he does his super-spin punches. Hit down each time as he's spinning to block them. Once he does 5 and you block all them, he'll be dizzy, if you do a uppercut at that time, he'll be instantly knocked down.

3. When fighting Bald Bull, he does a super-bull charge at you. If you dodge the first 2 and then when he charges the third time, just as he's getting up to where you're at, you hit with a straight gut punch, you'll nail him and he'll drop like a bag of rocks. *Timing is everything*

4. Soda Pop Sahensky is the purplish dude, and he can be a pain, but all you have to do is learn the way he moves right before he punches, and once you learn to dodge and counterpunch, it won't be long before you get the 10 count with him.

5. Mr. Sandman, is and always has been a real pain in the butt for me to take down. But if you learn to quickly dodge when he spins his gloves and uppercut him once, then dodge again, you'll get some good hits in. Also if you watch closely, you'll see when he's about to do his super triple uppercut, if you dodge all of them, and nail him with an uppercut, then a bunch of gut punches, you can take him down. Also when he does normal side punches, dodge, hit him once in the face, then a few times in the gut, that's the best strategy I've found.

Finally, We make it to Mike Tyson. What can I say, he's a pain. But if you got lightning reflexes, you can see when he's about to punch. He'll always do something, slightly blink, wink an eye or 2, or something before he punches, so you can tell when he's gonna punch, you just have to be quick enough with the controller to move when you see the reactions. Basic dodge, then counter-punch is the only quick way (besides cheating) to take down Mike himself...Good Luck!

Lemme just say, I will surely be updating this webpage some more, but I just got all this done in one day, so you guys would have something to look at and download. I know it's nothing great or special, but it's contributing something. I will be adding some more games, pics, and tips to the page as the days continue, but for now, let me just list here a few games for you to download right now, along with my 2 favorites you just saw above.

Some other cool NES Games!:

BaseBall Stars - Probably the coolest sports game ever designed for the NES. Considering NES's limitations they did a really good job on this Baseball game.

Bubble Bobble - A really cool arcade game. It's a little strange, you are 2 dinosaurs jumping around putting monsters in bubbles then popping them...cool though!

Chip 'n' Dale - The Rescue Rangers - I know it sounds like a dorky game, but it's really fun, especially with 2 player action. Lots of great stradegy, skill, and teamwork involved.

Contra - A great arcade/action shoot'em game. Probably the best shoot'em up ever designed for Nintendo (I sure think that it is!)

Kirby's Adventures - One cool game. Lots of things to do. A side-scroller action game. Can fly, jump, shoot things out at the bad guys, and heck, you can suck in the bad guys and eat'em, and sometimes if you scarf down the right guys you give Kirby special powers..this game rox!

Ninja Gaiden - This is another prime example of the originality and classic style of gameplay many of us have come to enjoy and respect from the Nintendo. Ninja Gaiden is a cool side-scroller where you primarily use your ninja blade, but get extra things like shurikens, boomerang ninja stars, superspin, firewhirl, and much more!

Off Road - One of the first classic racing games that I personally liked for the NES. With that 4-way adapter you could even play 4 players against one another on this action racing game. It's a top-view racer, and the track fits on one screen, that way multiple players can play without a splitscreen.

Rampage - A cool game that was ported to the NES from the arcade. This time you getta play the bad guy. Go around as a huge lizard or gorilla and destroy buildings, eat civilians, and bust up anything that gets in your way...This game is a doozy if you try and conquer it in one sitting..better bring out the coffee for the all nighter :)

Super Mario Brothers 3 - Well, if you don't know anything about the Mario Brothers, then you are in pretty pitiful shape, but lets just say this is the classic jump, squish bad guys, grab powerups, and zap down tubes, plummer-style game.

Zelda - This is the first part to the Zelda series. A top-scrolling game with mixed action/RPG. Many complex labyrinths and puzzles to solve. Gather many items to help you on your quest to defeat the bosses of the dungeons and have the final showdown with Gannon!

Nesticle Ver .40 - If you don't have the emulator yet, then you better get it. This is the coolest NES emulator around. In case you are a newbie, this is the emulator, the program you will need if you wanna run any of the games I have here, or you find elsewhere. Also, Thanks BloodLust for the awesome Emulator!!!

I don't have much room, but I will put 1 or 2 Sega Genesis game on here each week or 2, and change them. If I get e-mail requesting a certain game, then I'll put that one up next. Same goes for the NES games, if you request them, I'll add them to the page, if I have them. Here's this week's pick: PowerRangers - The Movie - Just like the some other games. It may sound stupid, but it's actually a pretty cool sidescrolling, beat'em up, Streets of Rage style. Graphics are pretty cool, and the storyline of course follows the movie plot, but the game is pretty cool!

Genecyst Ver. .20 -Of course if you plan on playing these cool Sega Genesis games, then you're gonna need an emulator for these games too. So here is the Emulator. Once again, Thanks BloodLust for the excellent emulator!!!
