The
Portland Megaband is one of the biggest contra dance bands in the world!
The
Megaband performs in Portland, Oregon at the annual Dean Kenty Benefit
Dance, as well as at as many Northwest Folklife Festivals as they will
allow.
The all-volunteer musicians of the Megaband come from all
levels of skill from near beginner to professional. The Megaband welcomes
anyone on (almost) any acoustic instrument who is willing to attend all
the rehearsals and play with enthusiasm.
