CDRWIN is available from Goldenhawk Technologies www.goldenhawk.com

Open CDR-Win and observe the following menu:

CDRWIN Menu

Click on the "Extract Disc" button as shown above.

The next menu box to appear is pictured below. Note the numbered fields and refer to them while reading the remaining steps in the procedure.

Extract Disc Window

To begin, note the Table of Contents on the disc, as this will determine how to configure the setup of CDR-Win. If, in the table of contents box, you observe either a) one Mode 2 Track or b) one Mode 2 Track and one Audio Track, set Subcode Analysis to Auto. If multiple Audio Tracks appear set the Subcode to fixed. (This will be explained again in # 7 below).

  1. Select the "Disc Image/Cuesheet" radio button.

  2. Select the drive that the source disc is in.

  3. This is where you specify your image file name. Name the file appropriately ensuring you do not use spaces and the name is under eight characters.

  4. Set to "Copy Raw" for all PSX games.

  5. Set the "Error Recovery" button to "Ignore".

  6. Set "Jitter Correction" to disable.

  7. Again, as mentioned above, after reviewing the Table of Contents, set the Subcode Analysis to Fixed for multiple Audio Tracks.

  8. Set "Read Retry Count" to a number of at least 50.

  9. Set the Data and Audio speeds to 1X for best results.

  10. Press the "Start" button and the copying process will begin.

Note: With CDR-Win, no capturing errors should be present. If you experience a capturing error, re-extract the original and begin the process again.

After extracting an error free image, refer to the original menu and select the "Record Disc" button as follows:

Record Disc

The next menu to appear is shown below. Again, note the numbered locations within the capture:

Record Disc

  1. Select your CD-R type in this field.

  2. Press the "Load Cuesheet" button. Select the directory that your image was selected in and choose the *.cue file that was created previously.

  3. Ensure that the proper *.cue file was selected as shown in this field.

  4. Set recording speed to 1X for best results.

  5. Press the "Start Recording" button to begin the copy process.
