DiscoMania2.04

DiscoMania is an advanced utility to create catalogs of removable, CD-ROM, and local drives. You can create, search, and organize catalogs using various options.
Please refer to Read me file for changes.

Features:

• Create catalogs of your Removable, CD-ROM, and Fixed drives.
• Switched to a menu driven interface.
• File masks (even wildcards *,?), exclusion of sub-directories, ZIP file support.
• Option for confirming inclusion of each ZIP file contents during a scan.
• Use of the INI and text files to store information instead of the registry.
• Save catalogs with any name you like (if a volume name is present, it will be suggested as a possible name for the catalog).
• Create your own categories.
• Search catalogs by a word/phrase. case sensitive/insensitive. Wildcards supported * and/or ?. File name, directory, and file comment fields are searched.
• Search catalogs by file extension. case insensitive. Wildcards supported * and/or ?.
• Search catalogs by date range.
• Search selected categories.
• Add/edit comments for any item in the catalog. Use pre-defined comments.
• Add/edit comments for catalogs and categories.
• Automatic and smart update of catalogs.
• Option to easily upgrade from versions 1.36-1.48 to 2.0.
• View contents of all catalogs with one call.
• View a report of your catalogs. Report includes: Catalog name, Type, Total Space, Free Space, Directory, Last update, and Comment. You may print or save this report.
• Find duplicate files in catalogs.
• View catalog information with one call.
• Edit/Set disk label (Removable drives only).
• Print, search, or save contents of visual table.
• Copy a selection from visual table to clipboard.
• Delete files when viewing a catalog or after a search.
• Rename, delete catalogs.
• Rename, delete categories.
• Move catalogs between categories by using drag and drop.
• Turn tool-tips on/off.
• A more detailed help file.
• Search and replace comments in catalogs.
• Set the color of the tooltips.

Unzip the files in the discoma.zip in a directroy of your choice. Run DiscoMania.exe. Optionally, you can create a shortcut for the program. Please view the Readme file for instructions on how to uninstall DiscoMania

To upgrade from versions 1.36-1.48:
Use the "Upgrade To v2.xx" option under the "General" menu.
Please refer to the help file for instructions on how to uninstall the older version.

Messcleaner2.03

A small utility to find and eliminate the junk files from your system.
Please refer to Read me file for changes.

Features:

• Runs entierly from the tray menu now.
• Global option to delete files to recycle-bin. You may override this option for any directory that you select under the Clean Directories section.
• Option to prompt to Exit Messcleaner after performing scheduled tasks(check shortcuts and clean directories) whenever Messcleaner runs.
• Option to display total and free space of your system drives when you place the mouse over Messcleaner tray icon.
• Option to start Messcleaner on Windows startup.
• Option to select different tooltips color and for how long to display them.
• Select an unlimited number of directories to clean.
• Option to control how (delete to recycle or permanent) and what (all files or use file masks) to delete when cleanning selected directories under Clean Directories.
• Option to clean directories on startup and/or pre-defined time periods.
• Check the Startmenu and the Desktop for dead shortcuts and empty directories on startup and/or manually.
• Find duplicate files. Scan all the available drives together. Exculde directories and files using masks from the scan.
• Find junk files using the Clean Drive(s). Select drive(s) or specific directories to scan. Scan by last accessed and/or last modified date. Scan by file sizes bigger and/or smaller than a pre-defined value. Scan by file attributes (archive and/or read-only and/or hidden and/or system). Scan by file extension.
• In addition, you may use the above options under the Clean Drive(s) collectivelly (Displays files that their extension AND size AND date AND attributs matches of those specified in the scanning options) or separetly (Displays files that their extension OR size OR date OR attributes matches of those specified in the scanning options).
• On-line help. Place the focus on any control which accepts focus and press the F1 key to view the help topic for that specific control.
• Shutdown, Log Off, Reboot, and exit to MS-DOS quicly from Messcleaner tray menu.
• Multi user is supported. Each user can have his/her personal options.
• Delete, move files or save the scan results as an HTML or formatted text file under the Find Duplicate Files and the Clean Drive(s).

WinLogo Changer1.2

A small tool to replace Startup/Wait/Shutdown screens manually or automatically.

Features:

• Converts BMP,JPEG,JPG,GIF(if animated, only the first frame) images to proper logo images automatically(the original image will not be changed or modified).
• Backs up original logos(can restore at any time).
• View images as thumbnail or fullsize.
• Save images as sets, view/install/delete sets.
• Replace logo sets by number of boots, days, or pre-defined dates(random or in-order).
• Add/Remove shortcuts for Winlogochanger on Desktop or StartMenu.
• Delete sets to Recycle_Bin, if you decide to recover them later.
• A tool to rename files includede(both name and/or extension).

FREEWARE32 Another good freeware site with lots of good software. Only a pointing system ineffect.
BOOT IT This site is definitely a must see. Here is what the site editor claims (which in my opinion happens to be the truth).
