and sisters worked their farm while growing up. When WWII broke out, he
enlisted and was assigned to the 644th Battalion, Company B. He trained at
Ft. Lewis in Oregon. Arrived at Utah Beach and few days after the main
invasion and continued a trek across Europe in an M-10. Eston has been
retired for several years now and resides in Starke, Florida. He is in
excellent health and just celebrated his 80th birthday last year.
