I then realised I accidentally had the french version which wouldnt work with mine and had the english version about 6 hours later. I then ran CS installed all and rushed onto a server to discover the following things:</FONT></div> <div> a)no one but me and one other guy had managed to work out how to use voice comms and i think he was shy. </div> <div> b)spectator mode was a bit boring but miles better than it was(do i hear someone suggesting a league where there is a spectator commander?).</div> <div> c)no one much was playing(same download problems?)</div> <div> It did indeed seem ot me that most of the gaming internet has been at a virtual standstill all night but I suppose that when you come to something as popular as counter strike then that is going to happen no matter how hard you try to prevent it. Namely fileleech.com had increased there bandwith to 80mbps and closed all pages except cs for 2 days and still ran like a tortoise on depressants. I do however mildly like cs 1.3 as im glad they havent changed much in particular and it still feels like the old CS even if you can now hurl verbal abuse at your own team and discover that the wonderfully fluent chap in IRC has a crippling stutter. Also included in the cstrike folder i noticed are some remarkably helpful overhead maps of a few of the maps which are definitely welcome for the cs-guide. Because of this i will be a little while adjusting the alpha version for release but pls bear with me and I think it will be out at the week end.
