Why a space-based page? Current News.....
So many people have started treating space travel as something common. There is nothing common about space travel.

We as a people need to regain the feeling that America and the world had when Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed and walked on the moon.

The sense of adventure and exploration made this country what it is now, but we need to keep that spirit alive. Our first steps into space have whetted many an appetite for exploration and adventure. This page is dedicated to all of those people who want to know more about the universe around us, to explore what's out there even if we can't hitch a ride on the Space Shuttle.

Here are a few items happening in the space world.

The first component of the International Space Station will be heading into orbit this June. This piece is called the FGB (Russian acronym for Functional Cargo Block), and it will be joined 30 days later by 2 American-built Nodes.

This will be the foundation of a complete research facility in space
