: Management of Information TechnologyProfessor Kanungo's interests lie in the areas of evaluating and benchmarking IT effectiveness in organizations, software costing and estimation, and network security management. His current research involvement includes a comparative study of IT management practices in Asia, developing and refining software cost estimation models, and developing a security architecture for Government applications. Professor Kanungo is the coordinator of the Baan Unit of Excellence in Enterprise Applications and the Acer Competency Center. Professor Kanungo holds an integrated bachelor's and master's degree (1986) from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, INDIA, the M.S. degree (1988) in Management Information Systems from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, IL and the Ph.D. degree (1993) in Information and Decision Systems from The George Washington University, Washington DC .
