What can this tool do?

First, you can use Diablo II Backup Tool to create backups of your Diablo II both singleplayer and multiplayer characters (except for closed b.net chars of course)
You can comfortably backup & restore to 99 different slots per character, enter a description for each backup, and switch to the running Diablo.





A very handy function is Autosave. Use it to let the tool automatically create backups in regular intervals while you are playing. If you use this feature you won't suffer from misplaced mouseclicks any more, because you can revert to a backup that is 5 minutes away at most.
Especially if you misplace a valuable skillpoint or accidentally sell your good armor you won't be able to live without that tool anymore!

And last but not least, you can compare your current save with an older backup to determine which backup to load.
You can also use this to view a character's stats without launching Diablo
