Konnichiwa!
^_^ Welcome to the Ronin Anime Club website. We are a club that usually
gets together once a week (sometimes more) in order to present and promote
Japanese animation (called anime) to anyone and everyone interested in
this genre of foreign film.
We are located at Diablo Valley College in Pleasant Hill, CA, and we
hold our showings in room H-110 (in the Humanities building) from 2:00pm-5:30pm
every Monday and Wednesday (during the Fall and Spring semesters).
Our showings are open to everyone and they are free, free, FREE!
Even
though our material is in Japanese, all of the titles that we show contain
English subtitles, so that you can fully understand what is being said! We
want you to enjoy yourself, but before you partake in what we have to
offer, please read our general Rules regarding conduct. If you like
watching comedy, action, and occasional destruction of landscape and/or
civilization, then drop on by to one of our showings!
As an anime club, our main goal is to provide anime fans and
anyone who enjoys watching filmed animated stories with a source of entertainment
that is always free. That is why, along with our regular Wednesday
showings, we try to provide some extras that the public may enjoy. In
this, the Ronin Anime Club has Ronin Anime EX,
which is an extra anime showing on Mondays in which we play popular titles that
you want to see again (currently, Rurouni Kenshin). We also
take some fun trips and we
also have distribution of fansubbed anime for members.
If you have any questions,
comments, or if you just want to chit-chat about anime, games, or
theoretical plans of world domination you can come to one of the
showings and ask any Ronin Anime Club officer.
You can also contact us at [email protected]. We hope to see you
there!
