Welcome to an account on Pontypridd. Hopefully this web site will further educate you on the hub of the Rhondda valleys, an ex- market village where people would make the journey from the farthest reaches of the valleys to enjoy the atmosphere, views and of course good shopping.
This site has documents of the past reaching back to the 18th century. An account of Pontypridd as it stands today. Told from the viewpoint of someone who has lived in Pontypridd all his life (me) and has local ancestry from the town going back 3 generations . Also this site contains the possible future of the town as a major development is roughly planned out to refresh the look of the town and make it more pedestrianized.
