LadyPastors originated as an Egroup Internet Mailing List. The group's founder realized that many women in ministry, regardless of their formal title, felt alone and isolated. Traditional ministry networking is often, even innocently, restricted to male pastors and ministers. While Jesus came to free us, many women in ministry already feel belittled by conflicting church doctrines and policies. There are therefore infrequent opportunities for women in ministry to be mentored and encouraged by other women pastors who have "been there before." Lady Pastors offers an opportunity to all women who are called into ministry--as pastors, teachers, chaplains, counselors, mentors, etc.--to join together in encouragement, the study of the Word and prayer support.

As an interdenominational ministry, LadyPastors agree upon a Statement of Faith that welcomes all Christians! We also encourage the operation of the five-fold (or four-fold, if you wish) offices of the Church:

• Prophet
• Evangelist
• Pastor
• Teacher
