On the very edge, you will always find...
The continent is split in twain by the awesome Worldspine, a mountain range so high that the gods themselves are said to reside on it. Ancient magic rest in the bones of the world, energy that cannot be shaped by any of the new races. And of the elder races, only two remain: the orcs and the bales.
The southern continent is home to the younger races, such as humans, elves, dwarves, and goblins. To the north lie the orcish wastelands, a place of unimaginable savagry. The orcs themselves, a race of savage humanoids, wage constant war ammong themselves. Should they ever breach the Worldspine, the southern lands would be put to fine and sword in a few scant years.
There is only a single pass through the Worldspine large enough to move an army through. With the aid of the king of the earth, the great wizard Zauder built a mighty fortress to halt the advance of the orcs. Now the fate of the southern kingdoms is linked irrevocably to the fate of this fortress. Should it fall, the kingdoms would fall with it.
...judgement.
Welcome to the BorderlandsMux! We've stolen material from all over the place, tied it all together with an original setting and a custom-built world, and made what we think is a pretty keen place to roleplay. So, why not apply for a character and join in? Remember, we're nothing without you.
Course, the MUX isn't actually up yet, but we're hopeful. We're kind of dumb that way.
I'm Flame, a wizard so arrogant that I must put my name in bold format. I'm basically a nice guy, although everyone who's spoken with me for any ammount of time knows that I have crank theories by the dozen and often call people convoluted insults for no other reason than I find them interesting. I'm the creative force on this staff (quite an accomplishment, considering all the others are artists), and it's my job to come up with ideas. When I can't, I just churn out crud like this webpage. It's like working, but less effort.
