We are a group dedicated to
promoting simplex operation in the VHF and UHF bands. And to show that
while repeaters are great, they are not the be-all and end-all of Tech
class activities. For example, nets do not have to be on repeaters. Our
net uses relay stations to cover more territory than any non-linked,
single repeater can. And if a relay station drops out, another takes
his place, try that with a linked repeater system. We put the relay back
in Amateur Radio Relay League as far as 50 mhz and above are
concerned. We promote and try to support spotter net activites. We also
encourage expanding into 6m and 70cm FM simplex and usage of fm based
data modes. Such as APRS, packet, sstv, amtor, hellschreiber, psk31 and
rtty. Some may sound like HF (ssb) only but they work just fine on VHF
FM too.Unfortunately, due to internet trolls, I have had to restrict
new member sign up to apply and approval mode. Please be patient and go
through the member application process. This will help keep the site
clean for you, me and everybody. To learn more about us go to our
