It's a whole new ball game, folks... Isn't it?

Soft Music Sifting Through the Night
February 5, 2000 9:25pm

I feel restless this evening.

Scraps

Tenderness taps shyly on my shoulder
Desiring my affection
At my feet lies Vulnerability--
Pleading passionately for protection
Mischief winks and flashes a sly grin
Apathy sighs, overwhelmed with indecision
Hesitance and Uncertainty
Raise their eyebrows somewhat cautiously in my direction

Fear coolly whispers in my ear,
Sending an icy shiver down my spine
Ecstasy shouts to me from her throne upon Cloud Nine
Excitement thrills me
While Curiosity peeks at me
Behind the curtain called Confusion
Generosity offers me kind words
Melancholy craves my conversation
And Misery aches for my company
Only Loneliness lets me be
Absolutely nothing does she ask from me

Meandering Thoughts
February 7, 2000 evening

I try to figure exactly how it is that I'm feeling. Lately it seems as if all my escape routes are under construction; none of them succeed in getting me out of this restless and lonely state that I'm in. I know it's not a healthy pattern to seek escapes, so maybe this is actually a blessing in disguise. Generally I'm feeling unfulfilled.

Lazy Afternoon
February 11, 2000 1:56pm

There are some songs that could have been written specifically to (or about) me. *snicker*

Call and Answer
--Barenaked Ladies

I think it's getting to the point
Where I can be myself again
It's getting to the point
Where we can almost make ammends
I think it's the getting to the point
That is the hardest part

And if you call, I will answer
And if you fall, I'll pick you up
And if you court this disaster
I'll point you home
I'll point you home

You think I only think about you
When we're both in the same room
I'm only here to witness
The remains of love exhumed
You think we're here to play
A game of who loves more than whom

And if you call, I will answer
And if you fall, I'll pick you up
And if you court this disaster
I'll point you home
I'll point you home

But I'm warning you, don't ever do
Those crazy, messed-up things that you do
If you ever do,
I promise you I'll be the first to crucify you
Now it's time to prove that you've come back
Here to rebuild
Rebuild, rebuild, rebuild...

Mabel
--Goldfinger

"She's the bomb..."

Christine Sixteen
--Kiss/Gene Simmons/Gin Blossoms (Whichever you'd like to get the credit)

(Minus the "she gets around" and "sixteen" parts. Which, of course, is about half of the song)

Well, songs that I can relate to or songs that I love are two different categories from the one above. If I'm not lazy, I'll get to that later.
