Professional Experience

United Nations Development Programme, New Delhi, INDIA                  May 2002 - August 2002

Database Analyst

Employed as a Database Analyst my role varied on a daily basis to meet business demands.  One of my primary roles within this position was to provide assistance with the reconfiguration of their IT database.  This also required me to use my web design skills to design a website for the United Nations Development Programme.  For more information please visit www.undp.com.

GE Power Systems, New York, USA                                                                June 2001 - August 2001

Project Team Member - Field Engineer

Employed as part of a large group of Engineers from GE Power Systems and the Government of India, one of my main responsibilities within this role was to provide assistance in the establishment of a new electrical plant in New Delhi, India.

While employed here the majority of my working day was spent within the Electronic and Control Systems plant managing the turbine and other areas around the main plant.  This involved working within a team to meet objectives and minimise problems.  I was required to work well in pressured situations.

ST Microelectronics                                                                                        April 2000 - August 2000

Trainee Project Assistant

This position was an Internship which I used to help me gain experience in a working environment within the design department at ST's largest designing centre in India.

Whilst here, I worked within two departments simultaneously.  One of which was dealing with computer related software and design and the other department was dealing with the actual design and synthesis using CAD tools.

Whilst working within these departments I was given a good opportunity to become familiar with most of the latest CAD tools and major areas of ASIC and system on chip.  I also became familiar with how testing was implemented.

I was working alongside the designers who  worked on circuit design / development / verification issues related to high performance ASIC library development in 0.25m and 0.18m CMOS technology and who designed test chips to characterize the performance on silicon. Their work involved conceptualizing, RTL development, synthesis flow, circuit design of Device under Test and Test structures, Floor planning, Place & Route and physical design verification as well as working on developing a robust CAD flow for designing a Standard cell library.

I also designed the company's website that involved using HTML, Java and ASP- for more information, please see www.st.com
