The Hu-Gendi
By Rob Knotts

The Aggendi race is based on ship-colonies which try to add all the intelligent individuals they to add to the colony. To this end, the intial Aggendi attack on Algol was a failed attempt to use biological weapons to mutate the Humans into members of the colony. When the Aggendi could no longer detect any Human life, they gave up.

The Hu-Gendi:

Guld From Macross PlusThe settlers of Algol trace thier ancestry back to the Humani and the Elomani sub-race. However, ever since the original Aggendi assault, there has been a very small minority descended from the victims of the Aggendi mutagen, the Humani-Aggendi Hybrids, or Hu-Gendi.

Originally, the Hybrids lived only under the strict supervision of Muria, but as the Aggendi threat became more distant they were allowed to leave. In both Karga and Elara, however, they were shunned as "Hu-Gendi", percieved as freaks and monsters. Many returned to Muria, while others found a home among the practical Ettarans who always needed more sailors and workers.

After the Archipelago war, the Hybrids who had worked the in factories and army of Elara found much greater acceptance, and space construction has provided the Hybrids with a new culture where they can be valued and accepted. Unfortunately, with so many Kargan Hybrids oppressed into crime, they became a natural source for Axis recruiting.

Description:

Humani-Aggendi Hybrids are generally more robust and agile than Humans, often taller but rarely bulkier. Hybrids have excellent health overall, and with equal access to medicine can live almost twice as long as Humans. Hybrids are usually obsessive-compulsive, and while this can make them very determined and focused, it can also lead to violent anger. The major visible distinctions of Hybrids from Humans is a green-blue tint to skin and green-purple color range for hair.

GM Notes:

Everybody loves Zentreidi, and who doesn't like Guld? Blue-green humanoids are a classic symbol ot the alien in anime, and the Huggendi can be an ominous element in an Aggendi War setting.
