Goblins: Young people who developed Aggendi characteristics after Dremmond activated the Massmind.

The main reason I suggest it be unknown, even to those who have it, is it's drama potential. Sort of like 'Goblinization' in Shadowrun. One day you wake up to find your wife and half your kids had that recessive gene that's gone active and turned them into 7 foot tall scaly monsters with human minds yet aggendi massmind abilities. 1/4 of your kids are now controlled by the aggendi and you don't know which 1/4th. (ok this guy has a large family...)

And even the ones that have their self control intact are going to have to survive a sudden panic in the populace when some 1-10% of the world suddenly 'monsters out' when that Aggendi starship gets within range and the two groups (the sleepers on Algol and the crew of the ship) subconsciously telepathically activate each other and come out of their dormant states. :)
