Mekton Zeta Plus Extra
An Algolian Campaign:
Dark Muria
By Rob Knotts

DARK MURIA

In this campaign, the Aggendi war has taken a new twist. The mothership launched several smaller ships, most of which were destroyed before the reached Algol. Two, however, made it through, one "crashing" into the polar ice-cap, and one making splashdwon in the ocean. The first burrowed into the glaciers before it could be detected, while the second sank to deepest region of the ocean.
The ships had one goal:capture Algolian wildlife and mutate them into Aggendi drones. Before the Algolians could predict what was going to happen, Aggendi monsters started attacking the cities. The Murian Knights defeated the first wave, but panic spread across the planet.
Muria announced an international project to develop Mekton Armor specifically to fight these attacks, the King Triton Project. Combat-ready Protoypes Karga, Elara, and Muria would all be tested against the monstrous threats.
Characters will can be pilots from anywhere on Algol, serving as test pilots and security force. They'll face not only the combat-tests, but also attempts to steal the prototypes and derail the project.

BACKGROUND

MURIAN AGENDA
It's not an accident Kallicar stole one of the best ships in the empire for his exodus. It's not an accident it was piloted by the master ship-wrights the Ettar, or that it carried the dissident noble housed of Karg and Elar. It's not an accident that Elomani loyal to Kallicar were onboard. Nor was it an accident that the Aggendi pursued them to Algol.
The master geneticist Kallicar had a plan. He would take the most violent and most concientious noble families, and the most technologically gifted engineers, and he and his Elomani would create a new culture on Algol, a culture groomed to create an army capable of defeating the Aggendi. Discovering this, the Massmind hunted down Kallicar's ship.
Millenia later, the plan is beginnign to unfold. The Murians not only manipulated the development of Karga and Elera's aristocracy, but also planned the Archipelago war. Arkon Verian had grown impatient with the meticulous planning, and became involved in Kargan affairs prematurely. Dr. Tal was forced to bring in the Elarans ahead of schedule.
The King Triton Project is what the Murian's claim it to be, but it's also a front to test out the ability of Post-Archipelago Mekton pilots. The Murians plan to eventually start recruiting for an Algolian army.

LORD DELANY
The King Triton Project has become a lightning rod for political criticism. Not only is it a drain on resources already stretched to meet the needs of the Sunlight Fleet, but it relies an the sharing of experimental technology, an idea with opponents in both Karga and Elara.
More seriously, Lord Delany of the Elaran Peace Council sees this as a perfect opportunity to undermine Queen Ymri. To this end, Delany is secretly using the Peace Council to sponsor AXIS sabotage of the project.
