XME-422-X Vandal

A high-end Elaran psycho-mek, the usefulness of the Vandal is greatly dependent on the quality of the ESPer piloting it. Aside from the ESPer Lens, the Vandal's strength is in close combat. The cestus are nasty (do they get both a servo damage bonus and a hydraulic bonus?) and the 12K beam sword is almost overkill, especially when the V-Max is on. The Vandal has very good sensors, far far better than almost any other mek. Speed is among the highest as well. The big drawback is the limited number of shots on all the ranged weapons. The beam shotguns are anti-missile, but limited to 5 shots. It had better be a big missile that is coming in for you to use one of those shots.

The Vandal is one of two meks that stand a fighting chance against an Axis Rogue. With the V-Max on, the Vandal can crack the Rogue's force shield, but it had better finish the Rogue quick...
