Handley-Page Heyford

Thankfully the last of Britain's biplane heavy bombers. First flew November 1930 with Rolls Royce Kestrel III engines of 525 hp. A popular aircraft that was easy to fly and comfortable, production versions reached R.A.F. squads in 1933. Retired from front-line service in 1939, Heyfords were used throughout WW2 for mundane target towing and tug duties. Amazingly three Heyfords looped in unison at the 1935 Hendon Air Display.
