This British bomber first entered RAF service in 1937 and was retired in 1941. Of geodetic construction, {later used on the Wellington} it was powered by a single Bristol Pegasus XX radial. In 1938 two Wellesleys flew non-stop from Egypt to Austrailia in 48 hours. The panniers under the wings were bomb containers.
