The Human immune system

The Macrophage swallows anything foreign it finds in the body (like a virus). The Helper T-cell looks at the antigen to call for proper backup-- in the case of a virus, a B-Cell is called in. The B-Cell examines the markers on the virus and splits in half: Of the two B-Cell clones, one becomes a memory cell with the task of remaining in the body if the virus should attack in the near future. The other B-Cell clone divides into plasma cells, which produce anti-bodies that bind viruses together in clumps and allow phagocytes to locate and destroy them.

It's been a while since Bio. II.   Let me know if I got something wrong.
