weyr
You
knock at the door and recieve no answer, so you peek inside the room.
There is a large gold dragon asleep on the stone couch and the weyrwoman's
study door is open. Unsure of what you should do, you walk inside
and see a small red-head pouring over what appears to be old parchments.
You discreetly and perhaps a bit nervously clear your throat and she looks
up, startled.
"Why,
Hello there!" The woman smiles at you. "I'm afraid I didn't even
hear you come in!" She laughs, the clear sound like musical bells.
"Please sit." She gestures to a chair on the other side of her desk.
"As
you probably know I'm Saraph, and that beautiful creature over there is
Angelith." She smiles fondly at the sleeping gold. "And you are..."
Saraph seems to be looking for a name and, knowing that the weyrwoman probably
meets with several weyrpeople a day you quickly supply it. She grins.
"I should have know that!"
"Welcome
to Eyre Sea, my friend. Is there anything I can help you with today?"
"Yes,
I would like more information on Eyre Sea"
"Yes,
I would like more information on Pern."
