Forums Reopen. STZone Shuts Its Doors.

A mixed bag as far as news goes, I'm afraid. Bad news first; Chris Gough has just announced that the STZone will finally be closing, due to bandwidth and time management problems. Read about it here. However, both the Secured Channel Newsletter and the Great Link will continue, with the Link tenetively scheduled to become independant, and the newsletter to move to Solareclipse.net. How does this effect the Alliance? Aside from our sorrow at seeing the STZone go, and our best wishes for Mr. Gough and all involved, it doesn't. The Behaviour Alliance was originally concieved of in a time when the entire STZone and the Behaviour Group were feared to be vanishing forever. This time, that is not the case. While we lose Utopia Planitia, we still have the Link, the newsletter, and the Forums. All in all, the future looks bright.

Now, regarding those Forums, they have a new home and a new name. The Solarflare Forums. Most of you have probably already registered and begun to post. Those who haven't, there's no time like the present.

Luckily, the STZone did not close, and the BG evolved rather than collapsed. The Forums have endured, despite a few growing pains. But due to that threat, the idea of some way to preserve that sense of community planted itself.

The result of that idea is what you see before you. The Behaviour Alliance is a gathering of those of us from the Forums. More than just a collection of websites bound together by our common interest, the Alliance is made up of friends. As you browse the various contents here, I hope you'll keep this in mind.
