Welcome to Fullerene Page

What Is A Fullerene?

A fullerene is a cage compound, which consists of only carbon atoms. There is a principle of governing these unique molecures. The rule is Euler's theorem, which requires a fullerene contains "2(10 + M)" carbon atoms corresponding to exactly 12 pentagons and hexagons.

Two most important and abundant fullerenes are C60 and C70
