ANUBIS SPIRE have taken the web music scene by storm! Only a few months ago they were one of the best kept secrets in Progressive/psych-rockdom! I first heard of them through a friend who ranted endlessly about a band that.."REALLY plays!...I mean, like really PLAYS man!.." A band that didn't follow the trend-piper? This I had to hear. I was not expecting what I got. ANUBIS SPIRE roars at you like a desert whirlwind! Drums stutter and lurch in unusual pulsing code as guitar lines climb to the ionisphere and dive stuka-like, to screaming straffing runs, pulling out of certain destruction only inches from the ground...only to begin climbing again. What kind of music do they play? Anubis Spire is a sound unto themselves. Dark swirling arabian dreams,joyous abandonment and whispered prayers, all delivered with a seeming effortlessness and fury. These boys play like they MEAN it! Their first CD is bound to be a classic. I normally don't stick my neck out by making such statements. But then, I never thought I would ever be hosting a "FAN" page either! Before you dismiss my words as hype, CHECK THESE GUYS OUT, if you are one of "US", you won't be disappointed!
