And the journey begins. We know not how many roads we'll travel or
how long it will take. We do, however, know our final destination and
our prayer is that it will be a very crowded flight. For once everyone
will be rejoicing if there is no leg room. The flight won't be delayed
because of luggage. There won't be any. Everything will be brand
new, everyone will be happy, and our Father will welcome us home
with open arms. We don't have one of those departure signs, like at
the airport to look at. We don't know when we're leaving. It could be
10 minutes or 10 years. So we must prepare for departure. Just
imagine you're on stand-by. So you'd better be prepared. Ours is a
journey of dedication and love. Of ministry and music. Together we
work with one purpose, to glorify the name of our Savior, Jesus
Christ. With prayerful intent to let His light shine so brightly that it
may lighten where darkness has fallen and provide a glimmer of hope,
to help, if but at least one soul find their way home. For then the
journey, no matter the amount of turbulence, will be worthwhile. None
of this; the music, the journey, nor indeed our very lives would be
possible if it were not for our Savior, who died so that we might live.
Hopefully, we'll see you somewhere on this journey, but if not, we'll all
be together soon in our eternal home after our flight on Wings of Gold.
