| Boogies, Blues and Ballads | Greg Burgess has been playing the piano since, as he describes it, he first felt the pangs of unrequited love. The Billtown Blues Notes, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, has said this about the versatile and very emotive piano player: "Burgess is the area's top blues pianist, and his sly singing is perfect for the old blues and jive tunes in his repertoire." Burgess grew up in Central Pennsylvania where, after roaming for several years, he again makes his home. He has played with various bands, including with Rochester bluesman Joe Beard, and has shared the stage with Dr. John, Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, Jimmy Rogers, Millie Jackson, Roy C, and Big Joe Turner. |

| Greg performs with his jazz trio every Wednesday night from 6 pm till 9 pm at The Italian Terrace Restaurant on Route 405 in Montandon, PA. Steve Mitchel is on drums and Andy is on bass. He also hosts a jazz workshop and open mike with Steve Mitchell every Sunday at the Bullfrog Brewery in Williamsport, PA from 4 pm till 8 pm. Since 1992 Burgess has been playing every Saturday night with his wife, Beverley Conrad, at historical Penn's Tavern in Fisher's Ferry between Sunbury and Harrisburg. He accompanies his wife's fiddle and vocals and sings and plays standards and requests. |
