Welcome to my homepage.

My name is Jim Stoll. I am an Audio Engineer from Monterey,CA.
I began my career and learned the various aspects of the recording industry as an intern at Music Annex Recording Studio's in Menlo Park, Ca.,   The first real job I secured was as a Recording Engineer at R.W.I. Studios (M.C. Hammer) in Fremont, CA.
  Currently I work for a local band named Trial by Fire from Monterey, Ca.(See their new video,"REFUSE", by clicking on the either of the following links. 56kbs or 28kbs).
I also engineer for "Independant Audio of the Monterey Penninsula", which allows me to do sound reinforcement for concerts and events Including: Concerts by the Bay & Seascape Jazz (Sponsored by KXDC Radio & Sandy Shore Productions), the AT&T Pro Am Tee-off Party, The Monterey Rock and Art Festival, local bands, events and Festivals in the Monterey Bay area. I never would've believed that I could make a career out of something that started out as a hobby. I'm a heavy metal guitar player who started engineering on a chaep 4-track cassette recorder and became obsessed with getting CD quality work out of it.

Saturday Night Jam is the only song I was able to record in a professional studio, it features my best friend, Jeff Hyden on guitars and myself on vocals. This song was written and recorded in one evening, none of us knowing what we would end up with! This is truly an outstanding recording!!!(though it's hard to tell when listening in this format,28kbs real audio)
Soon I will make the music on this page available in streaming audio, formatted for both 28.8kbs & 56.6kbs modem users. Because my server does not currently support streaming audio, the following Real Audio files must be downloaded before they will play.
