Welcome Message
from Marvin Rainwater!
Hello there friends --out in internet land..
I love this. Millions of compadres at my fingertips. I'm so glad to be able to send my music out to all you wonderful fans. I am constantly making more music and it's such fun to get the feedback from you. Sheree and I are having a wonderful time up in the SNOW country...It's not as bad as you might think....Driving the pickup out on the frozen lakes and getting into a warm, snug fish house with propane heat and lights...all the comforts of Florida.. without the hurricanes...ha ha.
DON'T FORGET...WE LOVE YOU AND NEED YOU!!!!!!
Your Friend,
Marvin

Marvin slayed 'em at Hemsby 30.
A wild rockabilly show was in store for all the fans attending Hemsby 30. Marvin took the stage and ruled it . Swaying side by side, shoulder to shoulder with the Hemsby House band, the place rocked. All of Marvin's great rockabilly numbers...Hot and Cold, Mr. Blues, Roving Gambler,Whole Lotta Woman, Boo Hoo, Gonna Find Me a Bluebird,Dance Me Daddy, Rockin Down theWalls, The Rockabilly King, Baby Don't Go..and many more. According to reporters present, Marvin really outdid himself this time. Absolutely his greatest Rockabilly show yet! He keeps Rockin, and keeps improving. Truly a pioneer of the genre, Marvin showed the kids and veterans alike what real Rockabilly is . Wild , but controlled...emotional , well written lyrics put to a beat that can not quit! Hey! Hey! That's our man...The Rockabilly King and the Cadillac Band!! Thanks to all the folks at Hemsby for presenting Marvin Rainwater once again!

Friends,
Here's a note I received from Johnny White, who along with Marvin wrote
"I Saw a Bluebird Today"
which is on Marvin's new album "Rock Me" on Bear Family Records
Hello Jim,
Thanks for your very welcome message, and here we go.
You asked me to bring some of my great memories of Marvin . Okay, here's one of them. One night in upstate New York, I think in or around Newburg, Marvin and I sat up all one night talking about our times in music. I asked him how " Gonna Find Me A Bluebird" was born or written. The story was very interesting and made me think how true life is in a song. Well I went back home with great memories that next day. About a year later when things weren't so going so well with me in my personal life, I started thinking about the story Marvin told me. As I sat there in my room all alone, I started writing about a bluebird I needed to hear or see. It took me about 45 minutes to write what I wanted to say. When I finished and started reading the ode, the music just came along just as natural as can be. So you see Jim, life will always be there for you when you need it, and I will always be thankful to my friend Marv and the great number one song of 1957.
Your Friend Always,
Johnny White.
I Hope you folks enjoyed that nice Marvin memory.
Do you a Marvin memory, picture, or story you'd enjoy sharing?
Please send it to me and I'll include it on this website.

This is the cover from a copy of Trail Magazine. Our friend Marvin looks great in his gorgeous Nudie suit! Riding high atop the charts with a number one song in England and Africa, Marvin told me he thought he had invented music!! It was during this time period that Marvin performed at Constitution Hall in Washington D.C. in front of the Royal Family and other dignataries. His number one song, "Whole Lotta Woman" was performed by Vanessa Redgrave in the academy award winning movie "Georgie Girl." Just last year, Royal Wade Kimes performed Marvin's signature song "Gonna Find Me A Bluebird" in the Hollywood Movie" "Traveler." From Kansas, to England ,to Hollywood, Marvin's accomplishments have been extraordinary. And they're not finished yet!
Marvin loves pugs!
This is his great little Pug Karly!
