You are visitor number since Tuesday 6th January 1998 Greetings Pop Pickers and welcome to a glimpse at the world of pop through EMPtY eyes. This part of the ever expanding EmptyNet will go on to examine, on a regular basis and with a razor sharp critical eye, the intricate workings of the popular music industry in Britain and across the world. We will scour its every last movement, give it a hearty kicking whenever it's down and treat it to a bunch of flowers and a nice three course meal, with all the trimmings of course, whenever we think it deserves it. We shall also give the first critical web coverage to various players in the Ci-Pop scene. Once upon a time the dormant Cotswold market town of Cirencester was nothing more than a sleeping embryo as far as cutting edge music went. Since that time though it has undergone a healthy birth and is growing into a strapping young lad who will soon outshine all the other well established bullies in the playground, such as London, Manchester and Liverpool. Just you wait and see. In a couple of years we'll be the ones going "we told you so". For more info visit the EmptyNet's Ci-Pop page. Okay Okay Okay, so I admit it! I haven't updated this section for one hell of a while, but there are reasons for that, not that I'm going to tell you. Anyway, hopefully we should be up and running again shortly with a full review of The Verve's big day in the North at Wigan's Haigh Hall. There shall also be a write up of the one and only Glastonbury festival towards the end of June / start of July depending on how quickly I recover. To whet your appetite though have a look at some pictures of the Verve's homecoming show: 1: The Verve, 2: The Verve again, 3: The boy Beck, 4: The boy Beck yet again.
Recently added: An interview with FRUITBAT from CARTER USM EmptyNet Reviews is an open and democratic forum. Anyone is welcome to write for us, no matter what your tastes, political leanings or favourite Spice Girl. E-mail us with your critical outpourings and we promise to print them, maybe, if we think it's good enough, perhaps. Okay.
