GG's Hovel
On The Web
is under major reconstruction.
The
old page is here.
In the meantime, here are some links regarding my favourite pastimes
(well the ones I don't mind you seeing anyway.).
Soccer
I play for my work team. EDS
Systemhouse. . We won promotion to Division 2 in 1999. All the details, and a picture
courtesy of Dana, are available if you click on the link.
Since I was about knee high I have supported Liverpool FC, my home city club and also still the most
succesful team in English history.
18 championships, 4 European Cups (Now the Champions League), 2 UEFA Cups, 4 FA Cups, 5 League Cups and 12 Charity shields.
And more importantly, back challenging for honours this season after three or four fallow years).
Music
Fish
- Just listen, then you'll understand why.
Queen - the
best live band there ever was, and their records are pretty good too.
Tom Robinson
- Definitely worth seeing live if you get the chance.
Magnum
- A very British band. Sound more like the champagne than the gun.
Literature
Live in Nepean? You can get free books
here
Or you can buy them from Chapters
of course.
Iain
Banks writes books that are simply engrossing whether he's writing
fiction, or as Iain M Banks, Science Fiction.
I don't recommend starting with The
Wasp Factory though, unless you have a particularly strong constitution.
Way back in the mid 1980's I bought the very
first issue of Q magazine.
I still haven't missed an issue despite the grotesque import price I have
to pay. Click the link to see the not nearly so good on line version.
