Ricky Martin's Concert in Taiwan

Hey there!  What's up to you all wild girls (or guys!) out there?!!   I guess you're all totally obsessed about Ricky Martin, especially right after the concert, eh?   That goes with me too!  Anyway, the concert was a total BLAST! So here's the story.

November 30, 1998

First of all, I almost lost my chance to see Ricky Martin's concert. Why? Because usually when there's a concert going on here in Taiwan, I get free tickets from my dad's friends.  A week before Ricky's concert, I was expecting for my free tickets.   But as the day passes by, nothing came up to me, so I waited.  Until that very day, my dad told me no free tickets this time, and I got mad! Ricky's concert was to start at 7:30 PM, and the entrance time to the stadium is at 4:30 PM.  And about 3:00 PM, I'm at home, sitting and thinking what to do to get those concert tickets (that time, I was in an enraged state. Think about it! You're so much obsessed and in love with Ricky Martin, and you don't want to miss this great opportunity to see Ricky in LIVE! Then suddenly someone came up to you and said "You can't go!" How would you feel?). I felt like crying because I'm going to miss his great show. Suddenly my mom came up to me and asked me if I still want to go to his concert.  Of course yeah! And guess what...... she said to me, "Okay!  GO get dressed and I'll give you the money to buy those concert tickets. HURRY!!" YES!  I'm actually going!  So I dressed up really fast and...here I COME!

At 5:00PM, I arrived at the stadium, and BOY!! The line was long!!!! I bet these people came here since morning (and they're having a picnic too!   Funny!).Anyway, I went to the ticket booth and bought the ticket (FINALLY!!!   It's a miracle...heh heh :P).  I went to the line and waited.  Good that I wasn't really so back on the line, I'm somewhere at the front middle of the line (close to the stadium).  Suddenly, the guards were whistling to make way for the van to pass.  At first I thought it was a van with fans inside, and guess what.....RICKY'S INSIDE!!!!  I stood still at the side of the van where the windows are closed (they're all covered up with dark shades, so I can't really see him inside), and I was looking at my own reflection, staring blankly at the windows.  As the van passes along, I'm like "T...th...that's Ricky? Ohmuhgod!!!" Funny me, maybe I was confused...or DAZED!

At 6:30PM, everyone entered the stadium, and you know what?  No cameras allowed inside!  I had my camera inside my bag, but they didn't check my bag, so I was safe.  Still, I didn't use the camera at the concert 'cuz it was too crowded! Anyway, as I enter the stadium, they gave free stickers of Ricky Martin (and they're really cute!) and light sticks. As I waited for the concert to start, my friends came and joined me. As soon as the concert started at 7:30PM, boy!  Everyone went wild and HIGH! When he sang "La Copa de la Vida", we all screamed and shouted "Go go gol! Ale ale ale!!!"  The whole stadium was filled with Latin heat.   It was so much different from any concerts that I went before.  His concert was so special, and the effects were so beautiful!  As I watched Ricky on the stage, I felt so lucky to see his show. I finally saw him LIVE!   I was so happy, and I started to dance all those moves that Ricky told all of us to dance and follow.  He is so cute, and a total hunk!!!!! From the beginning to the end, everyone danced nonstop, hopping and jumping and screaming and AHHHHH!!!!  You know how fans go wild, heh heh!  I love the way Ricky sing "Casi Un Bolero" and "Vuelve". He sang it with so much feelings and passion.  Of course, for "Maria", he made us dance so mad and hyper, especially those moves!

At 10:30PM,  the concert was finished.  Yogita (who I coincidentally met her at the concert) and I were so hungry (you know, all our energies were used up!).   So we decided to go to Wendy's and have our late dinner.  As we chat, we thought of going to Grand Hyatt Hotel to meet Ricky.  But as we looked at the time, it was really late, and what's worse - it's Sunday (school's tomorrow!). Darn  it! We were THIS close!  Anyway, it's my most memorable day of my life, and as Ricky says, "I'm going to leave my soul here on stage.." And guess what, you're right Ricky!   I left my soul there, thank you so much for everything! Love you!
