This site is intended to be a one-stop resource for the legendary lost Beach Boys' album SMiLE. Other SMiLE sites go offline, but this one's here to stay.
For a few years, I've been searching the Internet, looking for the SMiLE tracks available on various sites. In the beginning, I assembled a primitive SMiLE on my computer. Since then, I'd replace a track whenever I found a better version. My SMiLE compilation is the culmination of these efforts.
Also, I had found pictures that were purportedly from the SMiLE booklet. It took a little time, but I finally figured out which pictures belonged to each page. My layout was confirmed after seeing different pictures of another booklet.
The definitive text on SMiLE is David Propoky's The Propoky Notes, which are presented in a quite different form here. I revised his notes to fit my compilation, and also to clarify some of the grammar and punctuation.
Realizing that there is no official SMiLE, I looked to some of the session recordings, which are from Sea of Tunes Volume 17, exclusively devoted to the SMiLE sessions. There are only a few of the tracks available on the web, and all are gathered on this website. Also, there are bonus tracks, which don't fit into my compilation, but are definitely from the SMiLE-era.
As well as some recordings, the SMiLE sessions are described in the Information area. Links are also included in the Information area.
