Here's a neat little saying I picked up somewhere-
"Although the Tuba and Euphonium are largely ignored by almost everyone, they have a lengthy history which is worth noting. Your Euphonium students have every right to know the history of their instrument. I encourage you to reproduce this document and let your Euphonium students know from whence they came. Don't let your Tuba and Euphonium students suffer along as misguided and misunderstood members of the instrumental world. They are part of a movement that is long overdue; the recognition of the Tuba family as a group of truly musical instruments. Just because Mozart never wrote for it doesn't mean it's illegitimate."
