November 22nd, 2000 part 2   Well the server is running again but, we are going to leave the site where it is for acouple days, we noticed more pictures that where mixed up and we really dislike the error on the page, so we decided we will just redesign the site right away, then once it is done bring you all back to our server. Sorry about the slowness of fortunecity    November 22nd, 2000  Grrrr, Our server program is taking more then 10 minutes to start running after rebooting the system, we are going to be looking for a temporary home for the site while we reformat the computer that we are serving it from, so as to get rid of most of the down time, tho there are very few hosting companies that like to give more then 100mb of space for free..... hopeflly we can find something...... Well we found a place where we already had an acount that would hold 100mb sooo, some stuff might not be their, also they convert everything to lower case so that might screw up some of the picture names, also ofcourse they add a banner or a pop-up, don't know yet the site is still uploading, hopefully we won't be housed there for more then acouple hours, and hopefully you all bookmarkes http://papasmurfcelebs.nip.net/ otherwise you won't be reading this or atleast you won't be reading it for much longer. : ) Anyway we are aiming to reduce down time, Zzzzz this is going to be a long night...... I wonder if they have any bandwith issues.... ahwell guess we are going to find out.   November 21st, 2000   Added Tyra Banks pictures to the collection. Added more to Christina Aguilera and Jennfier Love Hewitt. That brings the total pictures to 1,015. Also added the banner exchange to each thumbnail page, that is earning alot of views for our banners, if any webmasters want to do a link exchange Email Us.  Doh. If anyone notices pictures on the wrong page please let us know, it seems a few of the pics where named the same and one over wrote the other while loading them to the image folder, lost alot of Tyra Banks pictures to this problem, we will try to find an easy way to rename an entire folder of pics, so that this won't happen again. Mail Here if you found mixed up pictures.  Double Doh, well we are debating getting a dedicated machine for the site. It took about a half hour to get the server program back up after the machine crashed, had to do a system restore, hmmm, we'll see how it goes with the search engine thing, so far only 10 people have used it, out of over 100 that have come to the page since it was up.     November 20th, 2000  Well the first 12 hours where pretty good, 179 unique hits, and we added more then 200 pictures and 1 more celebrity. Just shows how many people visit the news groups, since that is the only place that the site has been promoted, so far. We currently have 719 pictures online, alot more coming soon. For now the site will be updated daily if not acouple times a day, in the future it will be more like bi-weekly or monthly, but for now enjoy.  Help encourage us to keep updating use the search box below when ever you want to search for something on the web. Eventually we will run out of room for pictures, if everyone does their searches from here we will be able to get a larger hard drive for the site, possibly even a dedicated machine, maybe even a T line if enough people use the search. We added a banner exchange, if you click on it we get 10 displays on other pages. If you don't click it for every 2 views we get 1 on another page. We are just tring to drive people to this site, hope it works. We will be adding more pictures later tonight.
