GAME DESCRIPTION
Nascar Racing 2 is a racing game from Papyrus and Sierra On-Line that has SVGA graphics and supports most sound cards for sound effects. This game is an ultra-realistic simulation of Nascar racing. A 3DFX patch is also now available.

Nascar has a new home.
Electronic Arts announced at (E3) trade show that it had acquired
the interactive rights to NASCAR(R) (National Association for
Stock Car Auto Racing Inc.) The license grants Electronic Arts
(EA) the rights to develop a series of interactive racing games,
based on NASCAR racing. The first game to be developed using
this key license in NASCAR 98 and is due to ship in the fall of
1997 on the PlayStation(TM) and Sega Saturn(TM). NASCAR 98 will
feature 17 tracks, including numerous licensed races/tracks
from NASCAR's premier division. Included in the 17 tracks are
nine road- and eight oval-courses. Users can choose to race as any
one of 24 drivers and cars. A split screen feature allows for
competitive head-to-head racing, along with six computer cars to
round out the field. There was a 3Dfx version of the racing
classic running at E3.
Nascar 3DFX Patch News
Papyrus Design Group, the motorsports division of Sierra On-Line, announces that the 3dfx version of NASCAR Racing 2 will be available in early 1998 and that the version will support the NROS (NASCAR Racing Online Series). Current owners of NASCAR Racing 2 will be able to access a patch in early 1998 containing the 3dfx support at Papyrus' web page: www.sierra.com/papyrus. The NASCAR Racing Online Series is currently available at www.nros.com. A current finalist for a Software Publisher's Association Codie award for best Sports Simulation Software, NASCAR Racing 2 for MS-DOS is currently the #6-selling entertainment title in the nation (according to PC Data reports) and is available at computer stores everywhere or by calling Sierra direct at (800) 757-7707. Estimated retail price is $49.95. Other NASCAR racing products in the Papyrus family are NASCAR Racing, NASCAR Racing for Mac and NASCAR Racing for the Playstation.
