As you've probably heard, Sega has terminated sales of its Saturn system in the U.S., due to lagging sales. Several games have been dutifully released in the U.S. since then, but the future of the system isn't totally clear at this point. Those willing to deal with Japanese versions can import upcoming games if they won't be released here.
A consolation for Sega fans, though, is the impending release of the 128-bit Dreamcast system. It will most likely be in most direct competition with the upcoming Sony Playstation II system, with Nintendo temporarily bowing to the competition.
Also, the highly anticipated sequel to the Internet phenomenon Age of Empires is expected to be released spring of 1999. For more information on Age of Empires 2, go to our Age of Empires page (see bottom of this page).
