Studio Ikona was founded in 1981 by Yiannis Papanikolaou. In 1991, Yiannis Krikis, Sotiris Yiannakopulos and Andreas Sfyridis joined the firm, which was transformed into a Limited Liability Partnership. Its objects include the provision of photographic services, photography for advertising, publishing and scientific use, printing of black & white and color photographs and sale of photographic material.
In 1992, Studio Ikona expands into the area of electronic image processing. In 1998, Nikos Yiannakopoulos joins the firm and a new company is founded -Ikona Digital Prepress- active in the areas of color separations, offset printing film and proof production, digital printing (plotter)and lamination of large surface printings, having acquired high technology equipment. In the same year, Studio Ikona enters the area of digital photography.
Studio Ikona is situated at a leased space of a total surface of 500 sq.m., expertly equipped so as to offer services of the highest quality.

Know-how in connection with high technology equipment render studio Ikona capable of meeting the highest professional standards even in the most demanding circumstances.
Time of completion of a photography session depends on the work load and the individual circumstances of each session.
Photography schedules are currently organised on a two-week basis, following a previous one week notice. There is, however, provision for the completion of urgent assignments.
Photography may be processed analogously or digitally and is delivered in the appropriate media.
Studio Ikona employs 4 salaried employees-secretary, photographer, graphic design technician and office worker.
Photographers of studio Ikona have shown their work in a number of artistic photography exhibits.
