Welcome to the ESTANCIA VALLEY NM MAGAZINE web site.
CATTLE DRIVE IN McINTOSH, NM
Passing By the EB Ranch
Welcome to Estancia Valley Life, an online magazine about and for the Estancia Valley of central New Mexico.
**We are seeking material for this site. This includes news and comments from anywhere in our region, including political news and events that affect this valley, from Santa Fe and Albuquerque. We are open to input for art, photography, writing, and crafts, as well as input from businesses in the valley. We would especially like to have stories of ranching, both today and in the past, as well as folklore from the valley and its history. Points to see, places to visit, things to do - tell us about them, and we'll try to pass along the word.
This is a brand new venture. Initially there will be a few advertisements from area businesses, but as we grow, we hope to provide a place not only for businesses but for individuals who may have something they wish to sell, trade or buy. Classified ads, display ads, and even personals ads may appear on this site as interest develops.
So ... We are seeking businesses to advertise on the site. Initially, if you can keep it fairly simple, and quite short, it won't cost you anything. For now, send us your ideas, preferably with a photo, or of original art work, but that isn't necessary.
Have a restaurant? Send us a copy of your menu, or a photo of it, and date it so we know when the prices were effective. And Please keep it updated with us!! You may send such information to our web site, but if you have graphics, menus, or printed material, you may also send it to our post office box in Estancia. Include information about the place, the history, owners, clientele, etc. If I can, I'll put it on the site, and I'll let you know when we will start charging. Before any charge begins, I'll first remove your advertisement, and allow you an opportunity to advertise it at our then-current rates.
Any business (that is legitimate business!!) in the southwest is welcome to submit advertising material, though the focus of our interest is the Estancia Valley. If you have something you'd like to submit, send it to us, or drop us an email about it and ask. Whatever your business is in the valley, or with the valley, we would like to hear about it. That includes realtors, car dealers, mobile home dealers, repair shops, art galleries, hotels and motels,
We would be most happy to publish news stories or travel or tourism tips, from and about the Valley, and, in a more limited fashion, about the Southwest in general. That is generally accepted to be West Texas through the eastern part of southern California, plus Nevada, western Oklahoma, southern Colorado and southern Utah, and, of course, New Mexico and Arizona. However, items relating to surrounding areas may be of interest, so submit them to our email address and give it a try!

Very important! We also seek input from area governments, such as town councils, county commissioners, police and fire departments, ambulance companies, etc. This can be minutes of meetings, town or county events, important official news, police reports, road improvements or maintenance notices, or just tidbits of information meant to inform the citizen.

If you are a photographer, maybe I can put some of your photos on this site, to help spread the word about your work. Just ask and we'll look into it. But for the time being, we can't pay. You just get exposure. Same thing if you are a writer, an artist, or a craftsperson of just about any type.
We are NOT paying for any material! I won't say we will never do that, as, like any magazine, we may eventually be able to do so, for stories and other things. But at least for now, that isn't going to happen.
If it's from the valley, or even from the general southwest, we probably want it -- Including Mexican and Indian photos, arts, pictures, handcrafts, news, personal or favorite recipies, etc.
Yes, we hope to also be able to market merchandise on this site, and if you have original merchandise you would like to submit, again, email us with an inquiry. That would be especially interesting if you are, as already mentioned, a craftsperson, and you create original items, whether they are art, sewing, wood, or other things you'd like to market.
For comments, see our Email form on the Contact Us page.
Thanks, and watch the site grow.
