Where nothing is real and real life is a dream
The Web--a mesh of electronic data, computers hooked up to phone lines
through modems and thus to the rest of the world's computers. We can't
feel the pages, can't hold them in our hand or sort through the tangled
connections that make up cyberspace. What could be more illusory??? We
can't climb in the net of bandwidth, but we can "surf" on the
wave of information.
The web is obviously not the first illusion or the most profound. Age-old illusions such as that of dreams, mirages, and life were here long before the invasion of the baud and e-mail. These illusions are what this page is going to mainly focus on. In addition, I have links, my guestbook, and my first homepage, none of which are half as thoughtful as the last paragraphs =)
This page is, of course, no longer under heavy construction. Come back if you wish to see the latest additions (perhaps once a year would be enough, but go to my other pages because I do actually update them more often (especially the Field Page, and please e-mail me with any comments, suggestions, or just for the heck of it =) I leave you now with a (rather predictable) quote from Shakespeare:
-Puck, In "A Midsummer Night's Dream"
