They spoke perfect French and owned some
of the best jewels in all the world. They were
regulars in Europe where the women
thought of them as Arabian nights figures.
There flare and class is what made them
distinct. Today their memories are
enshrined in the marble palaces they built.
Their wealth may have gone but they are
