THREE CLINICAL WORKS HIT MUSEUM WALLS: THE
RESULTS: WE HAVE A WINNER!
Good morning Clinicland, Uncle B here again to update the world on
current events, which are a lot lately, so excuse our lag on
updates while we search for a webmaster with Clinical qualities.
First, on July 13th, I was married to my lovely bride Amy and the
next day we hopped on a jet and flew to New Orleans, where we had
the times of our lives. Meanwhile, Clinic slides were juried and
three pieces were accepted for the All Area Show at the Saginaw Art
Museum, an exhibit of Michigan talent. Because I was on my
honeymoon, I was unable to make the opening of the exhibit, which
took place on July 19th. Ethan and Frank were able to attend the
opening, and they told me the good news on a cell phone call at my
hotel in the French Quarter just minutes after they returned from
the museum. First, the accepted pieces were as follows (you can
click the above thumbs for larger versions of the photos): The
Cortex: A portrait of the Godhead, which was accepted as a work
by Frank. We'll talk more about that later, after the exhibit ends.
This marked a highpoint in The Cortex's exhibiting career,
making it the most exhibited piece of artwork that The Clinic has
to talk about. We were all very proud of it getting this
acceptance, and that is why it is the first thumbnail posted above.
The second piece, Further Investigations into the Nature and Origin of the
Darvon Waterfall III by Ethan was the actual piece that won a
prize. The prize was for Best of Pencil on Paper, and the
happy-go-lucky Ethan took home the $400 prize. I was very excited
when I heard this news, and knew that this marked a new beginning
for our organization. The third piece accepted was my own drawing,
The Psychedelic Pig. Though it didn't win a prize, this
accomplishment has lifted my spirit up in many ways, and to say the
very least would be to say that this is a very proud moment for all
of us here at The Clinic. The very day after returning from New
Orleans, my new wife and I raced to Saginaw to see the splendor.
What we found was that this exhibit was VERY well organized and
arranged. Overall, the works that were hanging were VERY good in
both technical skills, originality, and overall compositional
conformity. I was impressed with the art direction of the Saginaw
Art Museum on this exhibit, as well as the last exhibit, which we
seen while personally submitting the slides the previous month.
Overall, I was taken in by the composition of the layout of the
whole exhibit; but most impressive was the fact that we had a piece
hanging in each of the three gallery rooms in the upper level of the
museum. The museum itself is located on the corner of Michigan
Avenue and Remington Street in Saginaw, Michigan. For more show
information, call the Museum at this number: 989-754-2491. The
people there are very kind, and they are always more than happy to
talk to potential show-goers.
This is a small photo of the back of the picturesque museum, which
is actually a fully restored mansion that was converted into a
museum by the original curators. Posters, fine art prints, and
actual size reproductions are available of these three pieces, as
well as just about any Clinical work seen on this site. Email us if
you would like to purchase a print or poster. The All-Area Show
will be there until August 19th, so get up to Saginaw if you want to
see this wonderful exhibit in person.

Welcome to the place where everything we create becomes public domain. Hello friends, Uncle B here to personally announce the fifth Clinic exhibit. The exhibit is scheduled for June 15 - July 31 and will be presented at Annette's Place in Downtown Clio, Michigan. This is my hometown, which is the primary reason for the exhibit. The exhibit will feature works that might not ordinarily be seen in Clinic exhibits. The Cortex will also be there, as will be some fine art prints of some select clinical works. Yes, you heard it right; we now have posters and fine art quality reproductions of our artwork available at actual size and even BIGGER than actual size. This exhibit will be the premiere for our first line of posters and fine art reproductions. So if you are somehow trapped in the obscure location of Anywhere, Michigan, you should take a road trip up to the quiet town of Clio, if you can find it, and check this exhibit out.
Other News . . .
There are only about a dozen or so Clinical Recording Session Version 3.0 available. This was a 200 CD series of the up and coming release. The release date has been bumped to an unspecified date due to an overload on the mainboard at Clinic central. The 200 cd's known as "Version 3.0" flew out of the door so fast that I heard sound blurbs echoing in the hallway for two days before and after the series was stamped out. Several CDs were mailed to various points around the globe, as well as a few that were hand carried out west to Cali by our esteemed colleague Matt. Matt - if you're out there in the desert, save me a hit of that bar :) He gave us a report from the desert, and everything sounded good.
And Finally . . .
The Clinic will be offering prints and posters very soon, so watch for a revamped website, and the opening of the Clinic Online Gallery - A Virtual Gallery Experience, as well as The Clinic Gift Shop, which will be the place where you can order all your favorite clinical images printed on an array of different papers and other things that I can jam into this giant printer. Have a great weekend everyone, this is the last update until the site is completely overhauled.
