Cherry Tree is known for its acres of cherry trees and the Revolutionary War battle that was fought among the trees. Cherry Tree has one of the finest educational systems in the country with experienced teachers and lots of technology in the schools, which makes Cherry Tree a very desirable place to live.

Despite this, the tax rates aren't much higher than the state average. Also despite good schools, affordable housing is readily available. Cherry Tree has some of the safest streets in the nation with only a full-time sheriff and his four deputies. Although it may sound like a sleepy town, it is actually a bustling borough that has plentiful job opportunities in many sectors. The downtown area is predominatly owned by local businesses as opposed to large national chains.

Much of Cherry Tree's history has been preserved, whether it be the old cherry groves or the three-hundred year-old houses that dot Main Street. Cherry Tree has the reputation of being the "Cherry Capital of the U.S." Every July, Cherry Tree hosts the National Cherry Festival. If that isn't your thing, don't worry, Cherry Tree and the surrounding area has almost any entertainment you can imagine, including excellent performing arts. Also Cherry Tree is conveniently located near the city's entertainment and nightlife. Cherry Tree boasts plentiful park areas and recreational opportunities around town.
