Audition for Summer Workshop will be held APRIL 15 at the Academy’s rehearsal facility, Plaza Theatre, 421 N. Bumby Ave. Orlando, FL 32803. Audition for Academy on May 20, 2000.
The
Academy’s talented instructors are dedicated to developing professional ballet
dancers of the highest quality while providing the community with excellent
basic instruction in a variety of dance forms.
Why
a specifically Russian Academy of Ballet? What has the Russian classical ballet
given to the world? It is that
perfected, polished balletic technique, that absolute feeling for the created
image, in complete harmony with the music, which has been thrilling the
international dance community for the past century. In the Russian Academy,
uncommon artistic expression and exceptional plasticity of movement, even in
highly defined classical movements, finds meaning, and comes alive in a pose, a
step, or a majestic leap.
It
is a unique fusion of body and spirit, which can express feelings so powerful
that they truly touch our very souls.
It is a beauty crafted through years of training and discipline, a
celebration of the glorious achievements that humans at their best can realize.
With
a distinguished core faculty and prominent instructors from Russia, the Academy
provides intensive training in all of the highly structured ballet techniques;
character dance, pointe, variations, Pas-De-Deux, partnering, repertoire and
jazz movements.
The students will also
have an opportunity to be a part of performances of 2000-2001 season in ballets
such as The Nutcracker.
The
Academy has 8 levels also adult and preparatory classes, starting from age of 6.
