Views on the Current Irag War
As of the Year 2003

This article is here to talk about the self opinions of the war. Though this may contain lots of heresay and non documented sources this is only a summary for what I have come to a conclusion to, and does not reflect what all of the american people might think. Thank you for your time.

I would like to start out by saying that I am neither for or against the war as of it's current stand point. I do respect the soldiers over there right now fighting for our freedom as Americans and this is not to offend them in any way and if I should do so I apologize right now. I have talked to several annonymous people sence this war has begun and all I have come to a conclusion on what they feel is that this war should not happen. They do not believe war is at all an option for bringing around peace. So I will talk about the anti-war first. The reason many people are against the war is because they feel that we are over there only for the oil in which they produce, peace for the suffering people in Irag, or because George W. Bush is trying to make up for his father's mistake of not taking down Saddam Hussaine when he had the chance. So we are over there trying to get oil that they happen to produce over there. This is the first topic I would like to address. Many that I have talked to say that it's none of the american buisness to be worrying about the oil. We shouldn't start a war on the fact of oil because it isn't ours in the first place. So why should we send soldiers in to die only for oil? Does that actually make sense? Is it worth losing many lives just for oil? Those that I have talked to say no. That which makes sense. Why wage war on a country because it has a simple resource we can get other places? This doesn't make any real sense. Peace for the suffering nation. Many ask why are we over there because of this on the main fact that we have people suffering in our own nation! Why are we worried about another nations problems when we don't even have our figured out? This makes no sense that the government isn't taking care of it's own people as well as they do to the people over there. Shouldn't we take care of our own before we go and fight another country's battles? Though the government thinks this is a sturdy excuse the some of the american public does not. Finishing up what dad didn't do. This is one of the most logical points that the anti-war people have come up with yet in the sense that it quite possibly can be true. I mean for what better motive could there be for going to war then finishing what your father should have done? By all this information given to him from his father being in office he probably didn't take Saddam Hussaine as even a descent person. He knew from his fathers subjective comments that he would have to take him down. Though is this really what the american public wants? Though just the same as the anti-war people have their opinons the pro-war people do as well. There are several reasons to back their reasons up consisting of: support of terrorism, the threat of the economy, and Saddam's cruel rule. Though these may be the same reasons as the anti-war they do have their contradicting parts. This is actually one of the best ways to show how our economy really does depend on the oil. They are only a threat to our economy in the sense of oil. So our american government wants to go in there and take it over and replace it with a government that better backs the U.S. Not that bad of plan if you ask me. We go in there to reject the one government that refuses to sell to us in a descent price and we go out with some pretty cheap oil. Though this is not the only reason such as the attacks done against our country. The attack best well known right now would be the 9/11 attack. This is where Ossama finally gets a successful attack in against the U.S. Though because of this we chase him out of Afganistan and chase him into Irag. Irag refuses to forfeit Ossama and we go to war because of their support of the terriost. Thus forth completeing our original goal to take out terrioism while at the same time taking that thorn out of our foot called Saddam Hussaine. Though what Hussaine has done to his country before this point has us worried about the people of Irag. So now we are also over there fighting the peaceful side of this argument. The battle on feeding the poor Irag people that have been deprived for so long thanks to their "great leader" Saddam Hussaine. This helps keep us there so that we can make sure that people like Saddam Hussaine never come to power in Irag again. Though our attempts may be futile in the end, the intent is pure. So is it so wrong that we go to war? Maybe not, but maybe so. We have equal right to be in there just as much as we should not. So why are we there now? To finish the old buisness we started oh so long ago. The buisness of taking out an unjust leader to help the people of Irag, and to fuel our own economy back into shape with the cheap selling oil from our newly formed allies, the people of Irag. So I guess in the end you can say we help ourselves in this instance while helping others. Just too bad we where there for ourselves first.
