Welcome to

Karen is a full time certified Kodak Minilab technician at CVS. For years before that she worked in the Specialty Department at District Photo in Beltsville, Maryland, one of the largest photo laboratories on the East Coast besides Kodak.

Karen's photography reflects a variety of interests, talents, and experience. She's been taking pictures since she was 5, having learned light and composition from her parents, both of whom were professional photographers.

She uses a variety of older model cameras. She recently acquired a Mamiya C-220 120 format camera which took the WWII Memorial photos in square format.  Then her father gave her his C-2 and C-22 bodies and an assortment of lenses. Her favorite all-purpose, go-anywhere camera is a vintage Kodak Retina II-C, which is a little German-made 35-mm folding camera with a Schneider-Xenon lens. It was a long-time workhorse for her mother before passing it on to Karen. She also still uses a Ricoh 35mm SLR and a Minolta Freedom Zoom 105 recently traded back from her mother.
