I will be adding beliefs to this spot. It will be updated often. If you find a comment that seems incorrect, please email and let me know or post at the temp. post site.
"We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the crucified and resurrected Lord through whom salvation is made possible. In the beginning He created the heavens and the earth, and our first parents, Adam and Eve. And we believe that Jesus Christ will return to reclaim and restore those who choose to follow Him through faithful obedience to His commandments which He has given us, as contained in the Bible, Book of Mormon, and the book of Doctrine & Covenants. We assert that Jesus Christ lives, and continues to manifest Himself to those whom He chooses to visit, whether by miracles or the visitation of the Holy Ghost or in person, according to His own will.
Among those things which He commanded us, we hold firm to the doctrine which Christ gave in His ministry, that a man must repent, have faith, be baptized in water for the remission of sins, receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost through the laying on of hands, and continue faithful in Christ until death. And we believe that the ordinances which Christ gave the apostles, namely: baptism in water, baptism through the laying on of hands, communion, blessing of children, etc., must be conducted by those whom Christ gives authority to do so, including elders and priests whose duties and responsibilities differ according to the gifts and callings of God which He bestows upon men of His choosing.
And we also assert that faithful obedience to Christ will be rewarded with hope in this life, and eternal life in the world to come, when we shall stand before God to be judged according to our works.
We believe that the scriptures contain many prophecies which are yet to be fulfilled, such as the gathering of the tribes of Israel and the coming forth of additional scriptures which will testify of God's work among other peoples in other nations, and that the Book of Mormon is one such record, the Bible is another, and book of Doctrine and Covenants is yet another among the many. We believe that the word of God shall not return to Him void, but shall all be fulfilled through the working of His matchless and omnipotent power and grace.
We believe that God's love for us is shown in the sacrifice of Christ, whose selfless sacrifice broke the bands of death so that men might be reconciled to God, and that by the power of Christ's resurrection they may stand without sin in His presence when their mortality shall be made immortal in the resurrection of the Just. And we believe that a fearful looking forth remains for those who are disobedient, for their resurrection from the dead will not bring them peace, but is just prior to an everlasting destruction whose likeness cannot be found in this life. Yet by Christ's love and grace and power, all men can be saved if they would but turn to Him and not procrastinate the day of their repentance until death.
And furthermore we believe that Eternal Life is the most precious and powerful and wonderful gift of God which He gives to
man, and that it is everlasting, never to be taken from us once it is given. We believe that Eternal Life is not a gift of life before
death, but of life after death. We believe that all this is possible through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.

"I DO believe the BOM to be the authentic word of God, translated as JS claims, by the use of the Urim and Thummin "seer stones", and an actual, accurate record of the Nephites and Lamanites on the American continent.

I agree. I also wish to state that the main purpose of the Book of Mormon is to remember the covenant that we must make with
God. The call of the Book of Mormon is to "Come unto Me"

That the Prophet/President of the RLDS church had to be a descendant of Joseph Smith Jr. It was also taught and believed that only men can be priesthood holders and the RLDS church was a Patriarchal society.

I will be happy to post comments about the Doctrine & Covenants at this spot. I am not sure just what to include, but I will not limit it at this point. So suggestions are welcomed.

First of all, I have been living on borrowed time since the age of 7. When the doctors gave up on me, and I had double pneumonia, I was dramatically healed. The doctor could not believe what he saw. My first husband drove a tractor-trailer. At 6am in the morning, I woke to pounding at my door. It was the State Police. There had been an accident. A serious accident. In 1986, my house was flooded to the extent that I could not live in there and my husband died 6 weeks later, before we could move back in. Unless you have seen a flood close up, you are not prepared for what it does. In 1987 my second son was in a bad accident. Because of that he is left with a frozen finger. In 1988, I had cancer. I got so sick from the chemo that I was put in a neutropenic room. I decided to quit taking chemo after one full treatment. I left my kids home alone...I had no choice. In the same year, I met my husband. We're married 6 yrs today. I have MS and I have to thank God that I can do whatever I have to do. I am thankful for my three children, to have a home, even for the car I drive and the bed on which I sleep. Just to have a dry house, even though it's not totally finished. I'm thankful just to be alive. I thank God for everything I have experienced in this life...both good and bad. It's made me the person that I am.
MamuszMachu Pichu is one of the prettiest places on the face of the earth. I can just imagine Jesus Christ speaking with the people in this city. I feel so drawn to this place that it often makes me wonder if I lived there in another time. ron
